| Magaly Sánchez – Board Vice President Prior to becoming a vice principal in the Fall River public school system, Magaly Sanchez served as facilitator for student registration and assignment in the Providence School Department, spearheading key operational, information-management, and outreach initiatives.Always active within the Providence community, Sanchez is a long-time member of Quisqueya in Action, Inc. and has served as a trustee of the Community Preparatory School and as a board member of CVS Highlander Charter School. As a student who progressed through the Providence school system, she values the perspective that she now brings to her role as a member of the Providence School Board. Sanchez has been honored as the recipient of two Providence mayoral citations for community excellence, a Providence City Council citation for educational excellence, and the Margarita Cepeda Award in recognition of her professional achievements and positive influence on young Dominican women.Sanchez holds a master’s degree in school administration from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor's degree in organizational communications from Providence College. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in general education at Cambridge College. She resides in Providence with her son. Term ends: December 2013. | Julian Dash – Board Member Julian Dash is the Director of the Renewable Energy for the RI Economic Development Corporation, where he manages the state’s Renewable Energy Fund and the Corporations Energy Efficiency Fund. Julian is responsible for investing public funds into clean energy projects and initiatives that support the Corporations’ mission of job creation and economic expansion. Prior to this, Julian was a consultant, leading the finance and development of numerous “green”, mixed-use and mixed-income projects across the country. Julian is an active member of the community, serving on numerous professional boards. He earned his undergraduate degree in International Finance at Morgan State University and his MBA from Babson College. Julian currently resides in the capital city of Providence, RI. | Maila Touray – Board Member Maila Touray holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Johnson & Wales University. Touray is a former teacher from Africa and while in Africa, founded an organization to combat substance abuse among youth that continues to exist today. | Robert Wise – Board Member Bob Wise is a graduate of Harvard University's graduate program in government, and has served as a member of the City's 1998 PROBE committee. He is presently Materials Manager for Astro-Med Inc. (West Warwick). Wise is the father of five children, four of whom are presently in Providence Public Schools and the eldest a graduate of Providence public schools. Term ends: December 2012.
